Tara Bosatsu(タラ菩薩の女神)

It is believe that around 6th Century, the goddess Tara appears as Kannon’s Shakti ,Tara is regarded as set of forma of Avatars that represents feminine counterparts of the Bodhisattva. It is said that, she came into existence from a tear of Avalokiteshvara,which fell to the ground and formed a lake. Out of its water rose up a lotus, which an opening revealed the Goddess.

Tara Bosatsu is very widely popular in Nepal,Tibet,India and Mangolia.In Tibet ,she believe to be incarnate in every pious woman.and the two wives-a chinese princess and a Nepali Princess.

The White Tara was incarnated as the Chinese princess.She symbolises purity.

The Green Tara was believed to be incarnated as the Nepali princess. She is considered by some to be the original Tara and is the female consort of Amoghasiddhi.

The White and Green Taras,with their contracting symbols of the full blown and closed lotus,are said to be symbolises the unsending compassion of thedeity.

Tibetan temple banners frequently show 21 different Taras multiplied to a traditional 108.Taras coloured white,red and yellow.

The figure of the” self-born”Amitbuddha is often shown in her headdress.
